Mark Krueger

Manitowoc Belt Railway (HO)

Mark's railroad is loosely based on the Soo Line and Chicago & Northwestern railroads in Manitowoc, Wisconsin circa 1950. The railroad occupies a 13’x30’ room, features multiple industries, and a large yard serving a railroad car ferry slip.

An ESU DCC system with WiFi is used to control the layout with operators using their phone to run locomotives via the WiThrottle or EngineDriver apps.

Construction began in 2025 and all trackwork and wiring are complete, except for a turntable and ferry slip.  Scenery and buildings are planned once the trackwork and operating scheme have been tested.
