Michael Percy

Mid-Ohio Railroad (HO)

The Mid-Ohio Railroad is a modern class 3 proto freelanced short line based on the B&O (CSX) Lake Erie subdivision. The prototype line is a G&W branch leased from CSX and continues to operate 1-2 times per week with several customers.

Operating sessions generally utilize two-man crews switching multiple industries. Inspired by Lance Mindheim, operations are meant to be slowed down with switches to be unlocked and derails to be thrown.  Industries include a grain elevator, transload facility, plastics manufacturer and food industries.

The layout is 20' x 25' and scenery is approximately 35% complete.  Digitrax DCC and Proto-Throttles are used for control and Michael also uses Sergent Engineering couplers on his equipment.
